The roof top canteen is an integral part of a commercial building complex in the north of Zürich. It is used mainly between the two tenants – Freitag and Aroma. The kitchen for the canteen, along with the integrated refrigeration units sits like an island within a large open space. This main space is divided into two parts to create a restaurant area and a lounge area. Visitors are naturally guided through the various buffet areas within the restaurant. Both spatial zones have additional furniture and integrated ponds and fireplaces. The vintage lounge furniture is from Denmark and the restaurant area is dotted with colourful Eames chairs.
