Drawing, Designing, Thinking: 150 Years of Teaching Architecture at MIT
To mark its 150th anniversary, the MIT Museum, in collaboration with the MIT Department of Architecture, presents a dynamic exhibition exploring new ways of thinking about architecture, education, and design.
From its founding, the Department has embraced the task of rethinking the future of architecture in a rapidly changing world. This exhibition explores the Department’s approach over the course of its history of transforming the discipline to meet new challenges, including the evolution of the design studio, the emergence of interdisciplinary thinking, and the development of a culture of architectural research.
The exhibition also looks at how the department today continues its commitment to the advancement of knowledge through innovation, research, and scholarship.
