  Design Philosophy

Our architecture embodies an interest in natural phenomena and our designs attempt to heighten the awareness of the site - whether visceral or temporal. We are allied with a poetic reading of early modernism - employing a sense of craft and natural materials. We believe in the potential for architecture to engage the human subject and that great art, including architecture, should resonate emotionally.

  Publications

Maryann Thompson's work has been published in Landscape Architecture Magazine, Insite, Art in New England, Progressive Architecture, Architecture, Architectural Record, A+U and in various architectural books, including Norton's A Guide to 250 Key Twentieth-Century American Buildings, 40 Under 40, and Contemporary American Architects.
