Randall's Island Master Plan

The Randall’s Island Sports Foundation implemented a multiyear program to transform the 480-acre Randall’s Island Park into the foremost destination in New York City for sports and recreation.

The project produced a phased master plan for the park that enhances and optimizes parkland while providing a variety of athletic facilities. Features include an island-wide waterfront pathway system, picnic areas, comfort stations, ferry marina, nature center, restaurant, and administrative and maintenance centers. There are also numerous improvements of bridge access, roads and parking as well as the enhancement of wetlands and natural areas.
