Brininstool + Lynch

Brininstool + Lynch was founded in 1989 by David Brininstool and Brad Lynch as an architectural practice focused on design. In its 23 years the firm has completed more than 100 building projects, representing over 7 million square feet of built work having in excess of $1 billion of construction value. The work is located throughout North America and has included civic initiatives, commercial towers, film and recording studios, furniture designs, hotels, houses, lounges, master plans, museums, residential towers, retail spaces, restaurants, sustainable initiatives, offices and schools. Although the firm’s projects are diverse in type, they reflect a similar approach to resolving specific program requirements with a consistent focus on design and an eye for detail. Regardless of project cost or type, there is a modern clarity brought to each design while maintaining a strong client identity and purpose.

Among their many honors, Brininstool + Lynch has received twenty-three Design Excellence Awards from the American Institute of Architects, two American Architecture Awards and has been honored as an Emerging Voice in architecture by the Architectural League of New York. Their work is regularly featured in international design publications, and there have been two monographs published on the firm.
