We learned about the 60,000-square-foot "experiential" museum back in May 2015, when preliminary renderings were released. The latest crop of renderings reveals very few design changes – more detail, more precise details, and interior views are evident instead.

The museum is located at the end of Vermijo Avenue, just a few blocks west and south of the United States Olympic Committee headquarters in downtown Colorado Springs. A new pedestrian bridge will traverse some railroad tracks to link the museum and its landscaped plaza with America the Beautiful Park.

The $75 million museum is set to open in 2019. Those interested in tracking the museum's progress can watch a live construction camera on the museum's website.
